About Septic Service Scout
Septic Service Scout is an independent, published guide to septic tank pumping and maintenance for homeowners. It is run by Vincent Matacale. It is not a septic contractor, government agency, or industry body.
How we write pages
- Every price and rule links to a public source, usually the U.S. EPA or a national cost survey.
- Prices are published estimates, not quotes. Your price depends on your tank, site, and area.
- We don't publish reviews or ratings of contractors, and we never invent them.
- Each page shows the date it was last updated.
Advertising disclosure
Septic Service Scout has no paid partnerships as of November 7, 2026. In the future it may show referral phone numbers or links that pay the site when you contact a service provider. Any such placement will be labeled on the page where it appears, and it won't change the sourced figures.
